The Tornabene Theatre in Tucson is a distinctively versatile performance space with innovative and experimental staging. Originally opened in 1994 as The Laboratory Theatre, this venue launched with a grand production of “A Tale of Two Cities.” It was renamed in 2006 in honor of Frank and Wendy Lyn Tornabene, reflecting the family’s deep appreciation for the arts, commemorated during the School’s 75th Anniversary Gala.

This five-sided, unique theatre allows for flexible and imaginative seating and staging configurations that change each season. The design includes both floor and balcony seating. The latter provides a bird’s-eye view of the performances below. Depending on the arrangement for the season, the theatre can accommodate between 260 and 280 seats.
