Imagine stepping into a forest where the trees hum and the earth pulses with rhythm. That’s where Viet Cuong’s The Wild Woods begins setting the stage for Peter and the Wolf. Coung’s piece is a prologue to Prokofiev’s classic story, set the night before the events of Peter and the Wolf and presents the scene from the grandfather’s perspective. This performance includes both works with contrasting musical themes.
