Musical Instrument Museum
Start Date
November 23 @ 7:00 pm
End Date
November 23 @ 9:00 pm

With hints of bluegrass, country, and folk, Emily Scott Robinson beckons to those who are lost, lonely, or learning the hard way. A former social worker and counselor to victims of abuse, Robinson shares her unique insights and gift for storytelling through bracing soprano vocals and the unique perspective offered by her unconventional path into music. Robinson has received critical acclaim for her 2019 album Traveling Mercies, which Rolling Stone named one of the 40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2019. The follow-up album American Siren made numerous Best of 2021 lists, including those of NPR, Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, and No Depression. Andrea von Kampen has shared the stage with an impressive array of artists, including the Tallest Man on Earth, Trampled by Turtles, and Watchhouse, among others. She has played in renowned music festivals such as the Newport Folk Festival and the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival. Her newest album, Sister Moon, focuses on themes of climate change, the connectedness of nature, and the stories of Richard Powers.
