Some concert experiences just take hold of you, and The Wood Brothers have a way of making that happen. Oliver Wood’s raw, bluesy guitar and voice, Chris Wood’s deep upright bass grooves (you may know him from Medeski Martin & Wood), and Jano Rix’s inventive percussion lock together into something that feels both spontaneous and inevitable. Fans of Nathaniel Rateliff, The Avett Brothers, and Lake Street Dive will find a lot to love here as the “masters of soulful folk” (Paste) serve up harmonies, humor, and grooves.

The Wood Brothers—who’ve shared stages with Tedeschi Trucks Band and St. Paul & The Broken Bones—return to Scottsdale in support of their acclaimed ninth album, Puff of Smoke. Singer-songwriter Olive Klug opens the evening.
