The Devils in the Details Tour is a collaboration between Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers and Craig Finn of the Hold Steady. The tour features both songwriters sharing the stage and playing their own songs. Each is celebrating the recent release of an acclaimed new solo album: Finn’s Always Been and Hood’s Exploding Trees and Airplane Screams. Patterson Hood is a prolific writer and performer whose character-driven stories are packed with political subtext. He is best known as the frontman, singer, songwriter, and guitar player for the critically acclaimed rock and roll band Drive-By Truckers. He also writes essays, columns, and short stories and is a solo performer and producer. Craig Finn’s songwriting style is characterized by detailed storytelling, often focusing on characters on the fringes of society and drawing inspiration from literary figures such as Jack Kerouac and John Berryman. His solo work often features a more subdued and atmospheric sound, with keyboards taking a more prominent role.
