“Everybody let’s rock,” because “All Shook Up,” the Elvis hit-inspired musical, is about to take the stage at Arts Express Theatre! Set in the fifties, loosely based on Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” and chock full of your favorite Elvis hits, “All Shook Up” is a rabble-rousing, rockin’ good time for all. This fully LIVE performance runs weekends March 6-29; Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday Matinees at 2 p.m.

It’s 1955 and lonely mechanic Natalie Haller (Kaila Day) dreams of adventure, the open road and love. Unaware that her best friend Dennis (Dallen Anderson) has feelings for her, Natalie is immediately smitten when newly freed jailbird Chad (Erik Rosenbaum) rolls into town on his rowdy motorcycle in need of a mechanic. When Chad learns that local Mayor Matilda Hyde (Amy Williams) instituted rules against “loud music, public necking, and tight pants,” Chad makes it his mission to incite the town to rebel.

After Chad recruits Dennis as his new sidekick, the two meet museum owner Miss Sandra (Tiff Jensen), and Chad instantly falls in love with her. Rejecting his attention, Miss Sandra retreats to the local Honky-Tonk where Natalie’s father, Jim (Neil Crapo) also falls for her. Meanwhile, desperate to capture Chad’s attention, Natalie disguises herself as a man called Ed, and they soon become best buddies to the tune of “Blue Suede Shoes.” As tensions rise between Chad and “Ed”/Natalie, a game of cat and mouse, mistaken identities, and multiple love triangles ensue, and it’s everyone’s guess who will end up truly “Falling in Love” with who.

Overflowing with hilarity and all your favorite Elvis hits like “Hound Dog,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” and more, any sock-hoppin’, dreamin’, rock ‘n’ rollin’ “Roustabout” should not miss a minute of this fun-loving jukebox musical.
