TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD – Dec. 6–11, 2022

Next up, To Kill Mockingbird brings new life to a familiar favorite. This adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer-Prize-winning novel by Academy Award Winner Aaron Sorkin is “filled with breath and nuance and soul,” according to New York Magazine. Emmy-Award winner Richard Thomas steps into the role of Atticus Finch for the national tour.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR – Jan. 31–Feb. 5, 2023

Jesus Christ Superstar comes to Gammage in 2023 to celebrate its 50th Anniversary! This mesmerizing new production, originally staged by Lond’s Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival. A fun mix of theatre and concert music appeals to anyone with ears!

Disney’s FROZEN – Feb. 22–March 5, 2023

The Disney Phenomenon comes to ASU Gammage! Frozen has garnered rave reviews from critics, calling it “simply magical” (LA Daily News), “thrilling and “genuinely moving” (The New Yorker). Frozen features the songs you know from the Oscar-winning animated film paired with a dozen new tunes from the songwriters.  The magic of the film translates to the stage with spectacular special effects, stunning visuals, and unforgettable performances.

ANNIE – March 24–26, 2023

A SOLDIER’S PLAY – May 16–21, 2023

The 2020 Tony Award-winning Best Revival, A Soldier’s Play, returns to the spotlight this season. The 1982 Pulitzer Prize-winning thriller “deserves to be staged regularly all over America” (The Wall Street Journal). Set on a Louisiana Army base in 1944, the play follows a series of interrogations after the murder of a Black sergeant. Questions of sacrifice, service, and identity in America come to play in this drama.

HAIRSPRAY — June 20–25, 2023

You Can’t Stop the Beat! In the musical comedy favorite, Hairspray, 16-year-old Tracy Turnblad aims to change the world with big dreams (and bigger hair). This all-new touring production features favorite songs and choreography as Tracy tries to dance her way onto TV’s most popular show.

BEETLEJUICE — Aug. 22–27, 2023

You don’t need to say it three times for Beetlejuice to appear in ASU Gammage’s season! The ghost-with-the-most from the favorite Tim Burton classic makes his way to Tempe in fall 2023. This musical comedy follows out-of-place teenager Lydia Deetz and her life-changing run-in with a recently deceased couple and a demon. Underneath the scares, Beetlejuice tells a story about family, love, and making the most of every “Day-O.”
