UnMic’d produced by Arizona Opera, is a new video series hosted by President and General Director, Joseph Specter. In each episode, Specter interviews a pair of accomplished professionals: one guest from inside the world of opera and the other guest from outside opera but working in a similar role.
The first 40-minute episode launched last weekend and featured Clint Borzoni, Arizona Opera’s award-winning resident composer best known for his work on The Copper Queen speaking with Tony and Grammy award-winning Music Director, Alex Lacamoire. Lacamoire is most notably recognized for his work with In the Heights (2008), Hamilton (2016), and Dear Evan Hansen (2017).
Specter digs into the creative process of writing for opera compared to musical theater among other topics. Watch this episode of UnMic’d here.
