The tour features both songwriters sharing the stage and playing their own songs. Each is celebrating the recent release of an acclaimed new solo album: Finn’s Always Been and Hood’s Exploding Trees and Airplane Screams. Patterson Hood is a prolific writer and performer whose character-driven stories are packed with political subtext. He is best known as the frontman\, singer\, songwriter\, and guitar player for the critically acclaimed rock and roll band Drive-By Truckers. SUMMARY:Django Festival Allstars: With Veronica Swift
DESCRIPTION:The star musicians of the Django Festival Allstars have grown into a brilliantly cohesive group playing top concert halls and festivals. The group’s music transports listeners to Paris in the 1920s and ’30s\, when Django was king and gitane music filled the air. The Django Festival Allstars bring Reinhardt’s music into the 21st century\, honoring traditions and standards while adding their own interpretations\, arrangements\, and original compositions. The Django Festival Allstars return to MIM’s Music Theater with the sublime vocalist Veronica Swift for a magical evening of hot jazz. While her first two albums solidified her position in modern jazz\, Swift shows that she’s more than a jazz singer\, exploring French and Italian opera\, European classical music\, bossa nova\, blues\, industrial rock\, funk\, and vaudeville. Swift’s expansive artistic voice remains firmly intact regardless of genre. Swift first gained major international attention in 2015 when she won second place in the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz International Vocals Competition. Four years later\, Mack Avenue Records released her acclaimed album Confessions when she was only 25 years old.

SUMMARY:ASU Music Theatre and Opera presents "Curtains"
DESCRIPTION:Music by John Kander\nLyrics by Fred Ebb\nBook by Rupert Holmes\nStage direction by Chelsea Anderson; choreography by Molly Lajoie; music direction by Alicia Ferrin. \nHijinks and high stakes take center stage in this musical-comedy murder mystery. When an opening night murder makes everyone a suspect\, homicide detective and amateur showman Frank Cioffi has these show people toe tapping thisaway and thataway around reasonable doubt to find the real culprit–all while saving their hides and the show. With music and lyrics by legendary team Kander & Ebb (Chicago\, Cabaret)\, this loving homage to Golden Age musicals delivers quick-witted\, hilariously memorable characters\, and more twists and turns than a Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers number. For the musical fan who loves clever comedy\, impressive production numbers\, and a little murder on the side\, “Curtains” sure is a tough act to follow. \nContent warning: Staged murders and violence in a farcical style\, brief use of stage weapons and gunshot sound effects\, mildly suggestive humor. \nCurtains is presented through special arrangement with and all authorized performance materials are supplied by Theatrical Rights Worldwide 1180 Avenue of the Americas\, Suite 640\, New York\, NY 10036. www.theatricalrights.com \nAll ticket sales are ONLINE ONLY. Please purchase tickets in advance. Guests who do not have a ticket at the door will be directed to purchase a ticket online. Ticket service fees apply to every purchase.
