LOUD! (Living Opera, Understanding Diversity) Season 2, Episode 1 Release
This season is about celebrating BIPOC women administrators, artists, choreographers, and educators working in the Classical genre. Get a visual experience of their stories from their early beginnings, entering the music and arts industries, to journeying on as leaders, history makers or creators.
Includes a performance by the Maswade Drum Group, an interview with Dr. Naomi Andre, Professor in the Department of Afroamerican and African Studies, Women’s and Gender Studies, and the Residential College at the University of Michigan, and the premiere of a new segment called the “Taste of the Episode” in partnership with a Tucson, BIPOC hotel owned, the Citizen Hotel pairing local and BIPOC wine owners or wine makers with a glass of wine.
