“Little Women, the Broadway Musical”
Little Women, the Broadway Musical is presented by ASU Music Theatre and Opera student productions.
Based on American novelist Louisa May Alcott’s life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested. Her friend, Professor Bhaer, advises her to work harder, and to write from her heart. Thus, Jo discovers the beauty in her own story – the story of herself and her sisters, and their experience growing up.
Little Women embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears and a lifting of the spirit.
Book by Allen Knee; music by Jason Howland; lyrics by Mindi Dickstein; based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott; stage direction by Jena Allen and Maggie Berry; music direction by Andrew Chen.
