Join us on Sunday, May 11 for our special Mother’s Day concert, “Connected Through Music”.
This concert features works that reflect the richness and depth of our collective musical heritage. From the spirited energy of Henry Flurry’s “Fanfare for My City” to the deeply expressive melodies of William Grant Still’s “Afro-American Symphony” and culminating in the timeless beauty of Dvořák’s “Cello Concerto”, this concert showcases music’s ability to bridge cultures, honor traditions, and inspire new generations.
The Dvořák Cello Concerto will be performed by guest artist Peter Eom, proclaimed by the Royal Conservatory of Music as being “on the cusp of a very exciting international career”.
“Connected Through Music” will be performed at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts’ Virginia G. Piper Theater, 7380 E 2nd Street on May 11 at 4 pm, with Behind the Baton beginning at 3:15 pm. Tickets start as low as $10 (student discount) or $15 regular price.
