The Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony welcome the Mountain Ridge Wind Ensemble with Aaron Vogal, director, to campus to help open our season!

We also welcome Nicole Piunno as Composer-In-Residence. Her residency will be highlighted by the Wind Ensemble giving the world premiere of her first symphony, “Sunflower Studies.” Other works by Bryant, Milburn and Vaughan Williams. Joining the Wind Symphony is Dr. Benjamin Lorenzo from Kent State University conducting a new piece La Silla by Juan Pablo Contreras.

Wind Symphony
Piunno: “Resound” with Grant Knox, conductor.
Bryant: “Nothing Gold Can Stay”
Contreras: “La Silla” with Benjamin Lorenzo, conductor.
Vaughan Williams: English Folk Song Suite.

Wind Ensemble
Loggins-Hull: World premiere of “Sum of Our Parts.”
Milburn: “Emerald Suite” with Kevin Joseph, conductor.
Piunno: World premiere of “Sunflower Studies.”

Tickets are available for $12 in-person at the ASU Gammage Box office or can be purchased online at Ticketmaster (fees apply).
